此の経を持つ人は百人は百人ながら・千人は千人ながら・一人もかけず仏に成ると申す文なり - If there are a hundred or a thousand people who uphold this sutra, without a single exception all one hundred or one thousand of them will become Buddhas.

法華経と申すは 手に取れば其の（その）手 やがて仏に成り・口に唱ふれば（となうれば）其の口 即ち（すなわ）仏なり、譬えば（たとえば）天月（てんげつ）の東の山の端に出ずれば（いずれば）其の時 即 水に影の浮かぶが如く（ごとく）・音とひびきとの同時なるが如し、故に（ゆえに）経に云く「若し（もし）法を聞くこと有らん者は一（ひとり）として成仏せざること無し」云云（うんぬん）、文の心は此の経を持つ人は百人は百人ながら・千人は千人ながら・一人もかけず仏に成ると申す文なり

 通解

法華経というのは、手に取ればその手がただちに仏に成り、口に唱えればその口がそのまま仏である。例えば、月が東の山の端に出れば、同時に水に月影が浮かぶようなものであり、音が鳴るのと周囲に響くのが同時であるようなものである。ゆえに、法華経には「もし法華経を聞く事がある者は、一人として成仏しないことはない」と書かれている。この文の意味は、この法華経を持つ人は、百人は百人とも、千人は千人とも、一人も欠けることなく仏に成ることができるという文である。
意訳

 日蓮仏法というものは、手に取ればその手がそのまま仏の手となり、口に題目を唱え、信心の体験を語れば、その口がそのまま仏の口になって、自身がありのままの姿で、即座に仏の境涯を開くことができるのである。
例えば、月が東の山に出れば、それと同時に水面に月が映るように、また大きな音が周囲に響くのが同時であるようなものである。このように、法華経には「もし法華経と縁する事がある人は、一人として仏の境涯が開けないことはない」と書かれている。この文章の意味は、法華経を受持する人は、誰もが自身の無限の可能性を開き、幸福な境涯をつかむことができるという文なのである。

English Translations

 " Wu-lung and I-lung "

With regard to the Lotus Sutra, when one’s hand takes it up, that hand immediately attains Buddhahood, and when one’s mouth chants it, that mouth is itself a Buddha, as, for example, the moon is reflected in the water the moment it appears from behind the eastern mountains, or as a sound and its echo arise simultaneously. It is for this reason that the sutra states, “If there are those who hear the Law, then not a one will fail to attain Buddhahood.
This passage means that, if there are a hundred or a thousand people who uphold this sutra, without a single exception all one hundred or one thousand of them will become Buddhas.
