とてもかくても 法華経を強いて説き聞かすべし -Therefore, one should by all means persist in preaching the Lotus Sutra and causing them to hear it.

とてもかくても 法華経を強いて（しいて）説き聞かすべし、信ぜん人は仏になるべし 謗ぜん（ぼうぜん）者は 毒鼓（どっく）の縁（えん）となって仏になるべきなり、何に（いかに）としても  仏の種は 法華経より外に（ほかに）なきなり

通解

とにもかくにも、法華経を強いて 説き聞かせるべきである。信ずる人は仏になり、謗る（そしる）者は 、涅槃経にある毒鼓の縁（毒を塗った太鼓を叩くと、聞く人も聞こうとしない人も、その音を聞いた者は皆死ぬ（（煩悩を滅し、法華経への道を得る））、逆縁となって仏になるのである。
どちらにしても仏の種は、法華経よりほかにはないのである。


意訳

相手が聞くか聞かないかはともかく、「自分の勇気を強く奮い立たせて、誠実に粘り強く」あえて信心の事を語り、信心の種を相手に植え付ける（下種していく）べきである。すぐにその種が芽生える人（発心下種・ほっしんげしゅ）もいれば、すぐには芽生えない人（聞法下種・もんぽうげしゅ）もいる。
どちらにしても、種はまいているのだから、必ず相手が信心をする時がくる。折伏の結果は相手ではなく、自分の一念次第なのである。


English Translations

" Those Initially Aspiring to the Way "

Therefore, one should by all means persist in preaching the Lotus Sutra and causing them to hear it. Those who put their faith in it will surely attain Buddhahood, while those who slander it will establish a “poison-drum relationship” with it and will likewise attain Buddhahood.In any event, the seeds of Buddhahood exist nowhere apart from the Lotus Sutra.

Interpretation (liberal translation)

Whether you don't ask whether a partner hears talk of a Lotus Sutra makes your courage nerve itself hard unrelatedly, and I should tell belief and plant the kind of belief in a partner perseveringly sincerely. When the person who sprouts up needs its kind immediately, too, it'll be opposed, and there is a person who doesn't begin to grow immediately, too.
But anyway, the kind of belief is being planted. So the time when a partner does belief certainly comes. The result isn't dependent on the other party and depends on your resolution.
