一閻浮提の内に仏の御言を助けたる人・但日蓮一人なり - Nichiren is the only person in the entire land of Jambudvīpa who has fulfilled the Buddha’s words.

 日蓮 二十七年が間. 弘長元年 辛酉 五月十二日には 伊豆の国へ流罪, 文永元年 甲子 十一月十一日 頭にきずをかほり 左の手を打ちをらる、 同文永八年 辛未 九月十二日 佐渡の国へ配流 又 頭の座に望む、其の外に 弟子を殺され 切られ 追出・くわれう等 かずをしらず、
 仏の大難には 及ぶか勝れたるか 其は知らず、竜樹・天親・天台・伝教は 余に肩を並べがたし、
 日蓮 末法に出でずば 仏は大妄語の人・多宝・十方の諸仏は大虚妄の証明なり、仏滅後 二千二百三十余年が間・一閻浮提の内に 仏の御言を助けたる人・但 日蓮一人なり

通解(意訳)
 
日蓮は27年の間に、伊豆へ流罪させられ、頭と左手を打たれ、佐渡へ流罪され、また斬首の刑にも臨んだ。その他に弟子たちを殺され切られ、追放や罰金などは数知れず、様々な難に遭ってきた。

釈尊が遭われた大難にも並び及ぶか、勝るか、それは知らない。しかし竜樹・天親・天台・伝教ら、法華経を後世に残した先人達は、このような難に遭っていないので、日蓮とは肩を並べがたい。
日蓮が末法に生まれ、法華経の肝心である、南無妙法蓮華経を弘めなければ、「この法華経を説く時、釈尊が生きている間でさえ、反発する者が多かった。釈尊が滅した後の世に法華経を説けば、言うまでもなく大難に遭う」(猶多怨嫉・況滅度後)と説いた釈尊は大嘘つきの人となり、「釈尊の説いた法華経が真実である」と保証した、あらゆる諸天善神は全くの嘘を保証したことになってしまう。
釈尊滅後2230年余りの間、全世界の中において、釈尊の御言葉を助け、釈尊は正しいと証明したのは、経文通りに数々の難を受けた、日蓮ただ一人なのである。

" On Persecutions Befalling the Sage "

 
In these twenty-seven years, however, Nichiren was exiled to the province of Izu on the twelfth day of the fifth month in the first year of Kōchō (1261) [ B.C.1261, and after same, cyclical sign kanoto-tori [ Expression in the old Japanese time ], and was wounded on the forehead and had his left hand broken on the eleventh day of the eleventh month in the first year of Bun’ei (1264), cyclical sign kinoe-ne. He was led to the place of execution on the twelfth day of the ninth month in the eighth year of Bun’ei (1271), cyclical sign kanoto-hitsuji, and in the end was exiled to the province of Sado. In addition, countless numbers of disciples have been murdered or wounded, banished or heavily fined. I do not know whether these trials equal or surpass those of the Buddha. Nāgārjuna, Vasubandhu, T’ien-t’ai, and Dengyō, however, cannot compare with me in what they suffered. Had it not been for the advent of Nichiren in the Latter Day of the Law, the Buddha would have been a teller of great lies, and the testimony given by Many Treasures and by the Buddhas of the ten directions would have been false. In the 2,230 and more years since the Buddha’s passing, Nichiren is the only person in the entire land of Jambudvīpa who has fulfilled the Buddha’s words.

Interpretation (liberal translation)
 
 While Nichiren explained a Lotus Sutra for 27 years, banishment was done to Izu, and banishment was injured in the head and the left hand, and was done to Sado, and I also met a penalty of beheading. Additionally it's countless that pupils were killed, cut it, were banished and collected a fine. Thus I have met with various difficulties.
 Whether the great calamity which Nichiren met compares one the great calamity which a Sakyamuni Buddha met and equals or excels, I don't know that.
 But, the pioneers who explained a Lotus Sutra aren't meeting with such difficulty, so they and Nichiren are difficult to equal.
 If Nichiren is born in a latter age and doesn't propagate a Lotus Sutra of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, the word to which Buddha explained, " Even while Buddha lived when explaining this Lotus Sutra, there were a lot of persons who rally. The person who explains a Lotus Sutra in the posterity when Buddha passed away met a further great calamity needless to say. ", will be a false word, and Buddha is a great liar.
And a goodness gods is that a complete lie was guaranteed to have guaranteed "The Lotus Sutra Buddha explained was true."
 After Buddha passes away, about 2230 years. The person who proved that the Buddha was right only in the whole world is Nichiren who received many troubles in a condition of the sutra Buddha explained.
