 諸経は智者・猶仏にならず 此の経は愚人も仏因を種べし 不求解脱・解脱自至等と云云、 我並びに我が弟子・諸難ありとも 疑う心なくば自然に仏界にいたるべし、天の加護なき事を疑はざれ 現世の安穏ならざる事をなげかざれ、 我が弟子に 朝夕教えしかども・疑いを・をこして 皆すてけん つたなき者のならひは 約束せし事を・まことの時は わするるなるべし

通解（意訳）
　
　諸経では、例え智者であってもなお仏界を涌現させることができないが、この法華経は愚かな者であっても、仏の生命・仏界は本来誰もが生命に備わっているので、法華経の一節を聞いたり、南無妙法蓮華経の題目の音声などを聞いたりした事によって、生命に下種された仏種が因となって、成仏することができる。「解脱を求めなくとも、解脱が自ら至る」との経文はこれである。
　我ならびに我が弟子達は、いかなる大難があろうとも、法華経を疑う心がなければ、自然に仏界を開く事ができるのである。法華経を信受していても、諸天の加護がないといって、法華経の功力を疑ってはならない。また、現状が安穏でない事を嘆いてはならない。

　我が弟子に朝に晩に、このことを教えてきたが、疑いを起こして、みな退転してしまったであろう。愚か者の常として、約束したことを大事な時には忘れてしまうのである。
　
　
English Translations

" The Opening of the Eyes " Part Two.
　
 Even a wise person cannot become a Buddha through the other sutras, but with the Lotus Sutra, even fools can plant the seeds that lead to Buddhahood. As the sutra passage I have quoted earlier puts it, “Although they do not seek emancipation, emancipation will come of itself.”
 [Even a wise man can't attain to the Buddhahood by several sutras, but even a stupid person is explaining to this Lotus Sutra that everyone has Buddhahood and Buddha nature in the life primarily.  The kind of Buddha planted in the life will be in by hearing a phrase of a Lotus Sutra and hearing sound of Daimoku in Nam - myoho - renge - kyo, and it's possible to attain to the Buddhahood. "Deliverance isn't asked, if, deliverance comes personally." a sutra is this. ]
 Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbor doubts in our hearts, we will as a matter of course attain Buddhahood. Do not have doubts simply because heaven does not lend you protection. Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure existence in this life. This is what I have taught my disciples morning and evening, and yet they begin to harbor doubts and abandon their faith.
 Foolish men are likely to forget the promises they have made when the crucial moment comes.

湿れる木より火を出し乾ける土より水を儲けんが如く強盛に申すなり - praying as earnestly as though to produce fire from damp wood, or to obtain water from parched ground.
