仏舎利変じて米と成るとは是なるべし - Buddha’s relics turning into rice.

法華の行者をやしなうは慈悲の中の大慈悲の米穀なるべし、一切衆生を利益するなればなり、　故に仏舎利変じて米と成るとは是なるべし、かかる今時分人をこれまでつかはし給う事うれしさ申すばかりなし、釈迦仏・地涌の菩薩・御身に入りかはらせ給うか。其の国の仏法は貴辺にまかせたてまつり候ぞ、仏種は縁に従つて起る是の故に一乗を説くなるべし。

通解（意訳）
　
法華経の行者に米を供養してを養うのは、慈悲のなかの大慈悲の米であろう。なぜなら、法華経の行者とは、自身の仏性に目覚めたは地涌の菩薩であり、一切衆生もまた、本来仏性を持っている。そして、地涌の菩薩の仏性に呼び呼ばれて、一切衆生を利益することになるからである。故に仏舎利が変じて米となるというのは、このことであろう。このような不作が続いているこの時分に、使いの人を身延の山奥まで遣わされたことの嬉しさは、言いようがないほどである。釈迦仏や地涌の菩薩が、あなたの御身に入り替わられておられるのだろうか。
あなたが住んでいるその地の広宣流布は、あなたにお任せする。仏種は縁によって起こるものである。この故に諸教の中で最も勝れている、法華経を説くのである。
　
　
English Translations

" The Properties of Rice "
　
 Rice that nourishes the votary of the Lotus Sutra must be rice of the utmost compassion, because it benefits all living beings. [ Because an ascetic of a Lotus Sutra is a bodhisattva of the Earth which woke up in its Buddha nature. Equally,  all living beings have Buddha nature primarily, too. So it'll be because it'll bring benefits to all living beings in response to Buddha nature of a bodhisattva of the Earth. ]
 This is what is meant by the Buddha’s relics turning into rice. I cannot express my joy at your having sent a messenger all the way here at such a time. Can it be that Shakyamuni Buddha or the Bodhisattvas of the Earth have taken possession of your body?
 I entrust you with the propagation of Buddhism in your province. It is stated that “the seeds of Buddhahood sprout as a result of conditions, and for this reason they preach the single vehicle.” [ The meaning of " The single vehicle" be the most outstanding Lotus Sutra in all Buddhist scriptures. ]
