よき弟子をもつときんば師弟・仏果にいたり・あしき弟子をたくはひぬれば師弟・地獄にをつといへり、師弟相違せばなに事も成べからず

通解（意訳）
　
よい弟子を持てば、師弟は共に仏界を成く（ひらく）事ができるが、悪い弟子を養えば、師弟共に地獄に堕ちるといわれている。師匠と弟子の心が違えば、何事も成就することはできないのである。

If a teacher has a good disciple, both will gain the fruit of Buddhahood, but if a teacher fosters a bad disciple, both will fall into hell.
