総じて日蓮が弟子檀那（でし だんな）・自他彼此（じた かひ）の心なく 水魚の思（すいぎょ の おもい）を成して（なして）異体同心（いたい どうしん）にして 南無妙法蓮華経と唱え奉る処を 生死一大事の血脈（しょうじいちだいじ の けちみゃく）とは云うなり、しかも今 日蓮が弘通する処の所詮（しょせん）是なり、若し（もし）然らば（しからば）広宣流布の大願も叶うべき者か 剰え（あまつさえ）日蓮が弟子の中に 異体異心（いたい いしん）の者 之 （これ）有れば（あれば） 例せば 城者（しろもの）として城を破るが如し

通解（意訳）
　
総じて日蓮の弟子達が、自分と他人、あれとこれなどという、別け隔ての心なく、水と魚が切っても切れない関係のように、皆それぞれが、想いを同じくして、異体同心となって南無妙法蓮華経と唱えたてまつるところを、生死一大事の血脈というのである。
しかも今、日蓮が弘通する日蓮仏法の一番の肝要は、この事なのである。
もし、弟子檀那等がこのように行動してしていけば、広宣流布の大願も成就するであろう。これに反して、日蓮の弟子のなかに異体異心の者があれば、城に仕える者が城を破るようなものである。これは、同志の絆を引き裂こうと紛れ競っている、三障四魔の働きである。
　
　
English Translations

" The Heritage of the Ultimate Law of Life "
　
 All disciples and lay supporters of Nichiren should chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with the spirit of many in body but one in mind, transcending all differences among themselves to become as inseparable as fish and the water in which they swim. This spiritual bond is the basis for the universal transmission of the ultimate Law of life and death. Herein lies the true goal of Nichiren’s propagation. 
 When you are so united, even the great desire for widespread propagation can be fulfilled. But if any of Nichiren’s disciples disrupt the unity of many in body but one in mind, they would be like warriors who destroy their own castle from within.
