かかる者の弟子檀那（でしだんな）とならん人人（ひとびと）は 宿縁（しゅくえん）ふかし（深し）と思うて 日蓮と同じく法華経を弘む（ひろむ）べきなり、法華経の行者と いはれ（言われ）ぬる事はや（早）不祥(ふしょう) なり  まぬかれがたき身なり


寂日房御書（９０３頁）　弘安２年９月

通解

このような日蓮の弟子や檀那となる人々は、宿縁が深いと思って、日蓮と同じように法華経を広めるべきである。法華経の行者と言われるようになったことは、もはや不運なことであり、免れ難い (まぬかれがたい) 身である。

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
