末法には法華経の行者必ず出来（しゅったい）すべし、但し（ただし）大難（だいなん）来り（きたり）なば強盛の信心 弥弥（いよいよ）悦び（よろこび）をなすべし、火に薪（まき）をくわへん（加えん）に さかん（盛ん）なる事なかるべしや

通解

末法には法華経の行者が必ず出現する。ただし、大難が来たならば、さらに強盛に信心に励むことができると、これを喜びなさい。例えば、火に薪を加えれば、その火が増々さかんに燃え上がらない事があるだろうか。

In the Latter Day of the Law, the votary of the Lotus Sutra will appear without fail. 
The greater the hardships befalling him, the greater the delight he feels, because of his strong faith. Doesn’t a fire burn more briskly when logs are added?

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
