 日蓮をば 日本国の上一人（かみ いちにん）より 下万民（しも ばんにん）に至るまで　一人もなく あやまたんと・せしかども・今までかうて候事は 一人なれども　心のつよき故なるべしと・おぼすべし

 この日蓮を、日本国の地位のある者から下賎の者まで、一切の人々が迫害しようとしたが、今までこうして無事に生きていられることは、日蓮は一人であっても、法華経を信ずる心が強いゆえに諸天が守護されたのである、と思いなさい。
