転重軽受と申す法門あり - Lessening One's Karmic Retribution -

涅槃経（ねはんきょう）に転重軽受（てんじゅうきょうじゅ）と申す法門あり、先業（せんごう）の重き今生（こんじょう）につきずして未来に地獄の苦を受くべきが 今生にかかる重苦（じゅうく）に値い（あい）候へば 地獄の苦み（くるしみ）ぱっときへて（ぱっ と 消えて）死に候へば 人天（にんてん）・三乗（さんじょう）・一乗の益を（やく を）うる事の候

転重軽受法門（１０００頁）　文永８年１０月

通解

涅槃経に「転重軽受（重きを転じて軽く受く）」という教えがある。これは、過去世で犯してきた罪や宿業が重く、今のこの一生（今世）だけでは消えず、来世でも地獄の苦しみを受けなければならないはずだったところが、現在の悩み苦しみにあったことで、地獄の苦しみがぱっと消えて、死んでからも、様々な妙法の利益を受けることができるのである。

意訳

「転重軽受」の法門とは、どんな苦難に出会ったとしても「もっと重い苦難があったかもしれないが、これだけで済んだ」という、前向きな考え方である。苦難に真っ向から向き合い、宿命を自分の使命に変え、自身の生きていく意味を見出すことができるのが、日蓮仏法であり、、妙法に縁したことで功徳を受けることができるのである。

English Translation

" Lessening One's Karmic Retribution "

The Nirvana Sutra teaches the principle of lessening one’s karmic retribution. If one’s heavy karma from the past is not expiated within this lifetime, one must undergo the sufferings of hell in the future, but if one experiences extreme hardship in this life [because of the Lotus Sutra], the sufferings of hell will vanish instantly. And when one dies, one will obtain the blessings of the human and heavenly worlds, as well as those of the three vehicles and the one vehicle.

Liberal Translation

" The Lessening one's karmic retribution " is even met any tribulations "should that might have had more heavy tribulations has subsided with a light degree of tribulations" that is a positive way of thinking. tribulations and facing head-on, to change the predestination to your mission is Nichiren Buddhist that can be found meaning to live for themselves, it is can be subjected to merit by the force of Myoho.
