教主釈尊をうごかし奉れば・ゆるがぬ草木やあるべき・さわがぬ水やあるべき - Thus if one can move Shakamuni Buddha, the lord of Teachings, can the grass and trees fail to respond, can the waters remain calm?
譬えば（たとえば）頭（こうべ）をふればかみ（髪）ゆるぐ、心はたらけば身うごく、大風吹けば草木（そうもく）しづかならず（静かならず）・大地うごけば大海さはがし（騒がし）、教主釈尊（きょうしゅしゃくそん）をうごかし奉れば（たてまつれば）・ゆるがぬ草木やあるべき・さわがぬ水やあるべき

通解
例えば頭を振れば髪がゆらぐ。心が働けば、それに従って体も動く。大風が吹けば草木は静かではいられず、大地が動けば大海も荒れる。これらと同じように、教主釈尊を動かすような信心をしていけば、ゆるがない草木があるだろうか。騒がない水があるだろうか。
英訳
"Concerning the Statue of Shakamuni Buddha Fashioned by Nichgen-nyo"
When you shake your head, your hear sways; when your mind begins to work, your body moves.
When a strong wind blows, the grass and trees can no longer remain still; when the earth shakes, the seas are atremble.
Thus if one can move Shakamuni Buddha, the lord of Teachings, can the grass and trees fail to respond, can the waters remain calm?
