 不軽菩薩（ふきょうぼさつ）の四衆（ししゅう）を礼拝（らいはい）すれば 上慢の（じょうまん の）四衆 所具の仏性（しょぐ の ぶっしょう） 又 不軽菩薩を礼拝するなり、
鏡に向つて礼拝を成す時 浮べる影 又 我を礼拝するなり

通解

（釈尊が過去世で修行した）不軽菩薩は、あらゆる迫害の中、迫害された慢心の四衆（僧・尼・在家の男女）に対しても、相手に仏性があると礼拝した。その時、慢心の人々の仏性も、不軽菩薩を礼拝したのである。
これは、鏡に向かって礼拝すれば、鏡に映って浮かんでいる自分の姿もまた、自分を礼拝しているようなものである。

When the bodhisattva Never Disparaging makes his bow of obeisance to the four kinds of believers, the Buddha nature inherent in the four kinds of believers of overbearing arrogance bows in obeisance to the bodhisattva Never Disparaging.
It is like the situation when one faces a mirror and makes a bow of obeisance: the image in the mirror likewise makes a bow of obeisance to oneself.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
