賎き者（いやし き もの）なりとも 此の経の謂れ（いわ れ）を知りたらんものをば 生身の如来のごとくに 礼拝（らいはい）供養すべし 是れ経文なり

通解
　
外見が賎しい者であっても、この法華経の意味を知っている者は、生身の仏のように大切に礼拝し、供養すべきである。これは経文に説かれていることである。
　
意訳
見た目や世間の立場が、いくら高僧や智者のようであったり、逆にいやしい乞食のように見えたとしても、心の中は分からないものである。そのような外見や風評で人を判断してはならない。
その人が法華経の行者であれば、生身の仏のように、大切に敬い、供養していき、その人から人として大事なことを学び習いなさい。
これは経典に書いてあることであって、日蓮の私見ではないのである。

If a person has the wisdom to know the true meaning of the Lotus Sutra, no matter how lowly he may appear, pay respect to him and make offerings to him as though he were a living Thus Come One. Thus it is written in the sutra.

Interpretation (liberal translation)
　
A viewpoint of an appearance and the world is like a learned and virtuous priest and the person of intellect no matter how much and does not know it in the heart even if, on the contrary, you was seen like a vulgar beggar. You must not judge a person from such appearance and rumor.
If the person is the Buddhist ascetic of the Lotus Sutra, like real fresh-and-blood Buddha, you worship it carefully and hold a service, and learn, and learn an important thing from the person as a person.
This is to be written on the sacred book and is not a personal opinion of Nichiren.
