法華経は三世の説法（さんぜ の せっぽう）の儀式なり、過去の不軽品（ふきょうぼん）は 今の勧持品（かんじぼん）今の勧持品は過去の不軽品なり、今の勧持品は未来は不軽品 為る可し（たる べし）、其の時日蓮即ち不軽菩薩 為る可し


寺泊御書（９５３頁）　文永８年１０月
通解（意訳）
　
法華経には過去・現在・未来と三世にわたる仏法の弘通が説かれている。
不軽品には、釈尊の過去世の修行の姿である、不軽菩薩の事が説いてあり、
勧持品には、法華経の行者と三類の強敵との闘争の事が説かれている。
過去の不軽品は現在の勧持品、過去の勧持品は現在の不軽品である。
不軽菩薩の振舞いは、三類の強敵に遭いながらも、あらゆる人を礼拝し続けた姿であり、日蓮が身を持って示している闘争の姿である。
この今の闘争の姿は、今の勧持品であり、未来においては不軽品となるであろう。
そしてその時には、日蓮もまた一切衆生を敬い、救っていく不軽菩薩に当てはまることになるであろう。
　
　
English Translations

"  Letter from Teradomari "
　
 The Lotus Sutra accords with the fashion of the preaching employed by all Buddhas of the three existences.
 The past events described in the “Never Disparaging” chapter I am now experiencing as predicted in the “Encouraging Devotion” chapter; thus the present foretold in the “Encouraging Devotion” chapter corresponds to the past of the “Never Disparaging” chapter.
 The “Encouraging Devotion” chapter of the present will be the “Never Disparaging” chapter of the future, and at that time, I, Nichiren, will be its Bodhisattva Never Disparaging.

Interpretation (liberal translation)
　
 The spread of the Buddhism over the Third is explained by a Lotus Sutra with the past, present and the future.
 The Bodhisattva Never Disparaging's profound respect for people is written on The “Never Disparaging” chapter.
 The Strife with a believer of a Lotus Sutra and a powerful enemy of three kinds is written on The “Encouraging Devotion” chapter.
 Behavior of Bodhisattva Never Disparaging is the form that he kept worshiping all people and is the form of the strife that Nichiren shows with a body though it meets a powerful enemy of three kinds.
The form of this strife now is “Encouraging Devotion” chapter now, and since growing old in the future, it would be “Never Disparaging” chapter.

And then, it would apply to Bodhisattva Never Disparaging by which Nichiren never Disparaging's and save the all people.

湿れる木より火を出し乾ける土より水を儲けんが如く強盛に申すなり - praying as earnestly as though to produce fire from damp wood, or to obtain water from parched ground.
