法華経の敵をだにも・せめざれば 得道ありがたし - If one fails to denounce the enemies of the Lotus Sutra, it will be impossible to attain the way.

信心ふかきものも 法華経の かたきをば せめず、いかなる大善をつくり 法華経を 千万部 読み 書写し 一念三千の観道を 得たる人 なりとも 法華経の敵をだにも・せめざれば 得道ありがたし

通解（意訳）
　
（今の世相を見てみると、）信心の深い者であっても、法華経の敵（かたき）を責めようとしない。どれほど大善をつくり、法華経を千万部も読み、書写し、一念三千の観心の道を得た人であっても、法華経の敵を責めなければ、成仏への道を得る事はできないのである。

English Translations

" Encouragement to a Sick Person "
　
 Even those with profound faith do not reproach the enemies of the Lotus Sutra. However great the good causes one may make, or even if one reads and copies the entirety of the Lotus Sutra a thousand or ten thousand times, or attains the way of perceiving three thousand realms in a single moment of life, if one fails to denounce the enemies of the Lotus Sutra, it will be impossible to attain the way [ to the Buddhahood ].

Interpretation (liberal translation)　

  • Courage to correct a person slandering of the Lotus Sutra; [Nichiren Buddhism].

If it is not a brave man making the enemy of the bad person, the person cannot make friends with the good person.
