後五百歳・広宣流布疑い無き者か、若し爾れば 近きを以て遠きを推し 現を以て当を知る 如是相 乃至 本末究竟等 是なり。

通解（意訳）
　
釈尊滅後、２０００年～２５００年の末法において、法華経の広宣流布を予言された事は、疑いないものではないか。
もしそうならば、聖人とは、宇宙の因果の法則を正しく理解していて、近い現在に起きている事柄や現象から、遠い未来を推測し、宇宙の因果の法則に基づいて、現在をもって未来の当時（その時）を知ることができる者の事を指すのである。
　法華経方便品の「如是相乃至本末究竟等」の文は、このことである。
「本末究竟等」は、如是相から如是報まで、それぞれがかけ離れたものではなく、密接に関係しているという意味である。
この「本末」の「本」とは、現在の事象（因）であり、「末」とは、未来の当に（まさに）その時の結果（果報）である。
そして、「究竟等」とは、現在の因によって未来の果報が決定するということであり、また未来に起こる果報は現在に因があるという意味であり、「本（因）」と「末（果報）」はかけ離れたものではなく、密接に関係しているということである。
すなわち、「本末究竟等」とは、「宇宙に存在する万物に、因果の法則が含まれている」ということなのである。

" A Sage Perceives the Three Existences of Life "
　
 Can there then be any doubt about his prediction for the distant future, that in the last five-hundred-year period after his passing, the Lotus Sutra would spread abroad widely? With such perception one can see the distant future by looking at what is close at hand. One can infer what will be from what exists in the present. This is the meaning of [the passage from the Lotus Sutra that says, “This reality consists of] the appearance . . . and their consistency from beginning to end.”

Interpretation (liberal translation)
　
 After Buddha passed away, in a sinful age in 2000-2500. it's not doubted that predicted propagation of a Lotus Sutra , and Nichiren believed that.
 A saint is the person who understands a law of space cause and effect right and is the person who can learn about the far future from the matter and the phenomenon which have occurred at near present based on a law of space cause and effect. It's meant that the "beginning and the end" of a Lotus Sutra are the relation to which those are close.
 In other words, "A law of cause and effect is included in the whole creation which exists in the universe."
