通解（意訳）
　
悦ばしいことに、あなたは蘭室の中に居る友（蘭の香りのように人徳の薫り高い人）に交わって、蓬（よもぎ）のように曲がりがちな性格だったが、真っ直ぐに育つ麻畑の中によもぎが交わって、真っ直ぐに成長するように、素直で真っ直ぐな性格になられた。

Interpretation (liberal translation)

  It's a wonderful thing !
 You associated with the good friend in the orchid room [ the aromatic person who is natural virtue like the fragrance of the orchid ] and were affected, so you were obedient and you could be the straight character as mugwort crossed in the hempen field where you grow up straight, and your character which bent like mugwort was corrected.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
