なんと幸せなことか。なんと楽しいことか。穢土（悩み苦しみに満ちた汚れた土地：現実世界）にあって、南無妙法蓮華経という生命の真理を悟り、即身成仏の喜びを受ける事ができるのは、全世界において唯一、日蓮一人のみである。

 How fortunate, how joyful! In this impure land, I alone enjoy happiness and delight.
[ Nichiren realized truth of the life called Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. It is only Nichiren alone in the whole world to know the joy of attaining to the Buddhahood as a living body. ]

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
