命は限りあるものであるが、法華経のためならばこれを惜しんではならない。今世での命が尽きた時、願うところは一生成仏であり、法華経の行者であったなら、必ず仏国に住む事ができるという事である。

Life is limited; we must not begrudge it. What we should ultimately aspire to is the Buddha land.

Interpretation (liberal translation)
　
The life is limited, but when it's for a Lotus Sutra, you aren't supposed to regret this.
When life by this world came to an end, the place we wish is life attainment.
And if the person was an ascetic of a Lotus Sutra, it's to be always able to live in Buddha land.

湿れる木より火を出し乾ける土より水を儲けんが如く強盛に申すなり - praying as earnestly as though to produce fire from damp wood, or to obtain water from parched ground.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
