依智にして二十余日・其の間 鎌倉に 或は火をつくる事・七八度・或は人をころす事ひまなし、　讒言の者共の云く 日蓮が弟子共の 火をつくるなりと、さもあるらんとて 日蓮が弟子等を 鎌倉に置くべからず とて　二百六十余人しるさる、皆 遠島へ遣すべし ろうにある弟子共をば 頚をはねらるべしと聞ふ、さる程に 火をつくる等は 持斎 念仏者が計事なり 其の余は しげければ かかず。

通解（意訳）
　
日蓮は、竜の口で斬首されるはずであったが、諸天善神の加護があったのか、斬首は失敗し、そのまま依智という所に、二十余日ほど留まる事になった。
その間、鎌倉では、放火が七・八度あったり、あるいは殺人が絶えなかったりという事が続いた。
　日蓮と門下を悪く言う者達が、「あの阿弥陀仏の敵である、日蓮の弟子達が火をつけたのである」と言い出し、公平であるはずの役方も、「そういうこともあろう」と、彼らの言う事を信じ、日蓮の弟子達を鎌倉に置いてはならないとして、日蓮門下生二百六十余人の名前が書き記されたのである。
　名前を書きだされた者達は皆、遠島へ流されるだろうとか、牢獄中の弟子達は首を斬られるだろう等という噂が聞こえてきた。
　しばらくしてから、事の真相は、放火などは、仏教を学び、厳しい戒律を保っているはずの持斎や、阿弥陀仏を唱える念仏者ら、日蓮門下を敵としている者達の計り事だと分かったのである。
その余り事は多すぎて煩わしくなるので、書かない。
　
　
English Translations

" The Action of the Votary of the Lotus Sutra "
　
I was kept at Echi for more than twenty days. During that period seven or eight cases of arson and an endless succession of murders took place in Kamakura. Slanderers went around saying that Nichiren’s disciples were setting the fires. The government officials thought this might be true and made up a list of over 260 of my followers who they believed should be expelled from Kamakura. Word spread that these persons were all to be exiled to remote islands, and that those disciples already in prison would be beheaded. It turned out, however, that the fires were set by the observers of the precepts and the Nembutsu believers in an attempt to implicate my disciples. There were other things that happened, but they are too numerous to mention here.

Interpretation (liberal translation)
　
Nichiren should be beheaded by the Mouth of a dragon [ Tatsunokuchi ]. But the execution of a penalty of beheading to Nichiren was failed by divine protection of a goodness god. After that twenty remaining days were taken at the place called Echi, and were to stay.
Meanwhile there is arson 7 or 8 times at Kamakura, and murder doesn't cease, and an event continued.
 Nichiren and the disciples persons who say bad things suggested "Nichiren's  disciples of the Amitabha's enemy lit."
Even the high government official who should be fair has believed that they say " They're also certain that its possibility will be here. "
And Nichiren's disciples prohibited staying at Kamakura, and two hundred and sixty other persons' of name of Nichiren disciples was written down.
 The persons who wrote the name down would be poured into everyone and a remote island and disciples in the jail have heard the rumor such as would be fired.
  After that I found out that the arson which had occurred at Kamakura and a truth of murder were a scheme of the prayer to Buddha persons who learn the Buddhism regarding Nichiren disciples with hostility and pray Jisai who should keep severe mitzvah and the Amitabha.
It's too much, and other affairs become complicated, so it isn't written.
