とにかくに死は一定なり、其の時のなげきは・たうじのごとし、をなじくは・かりにも法華経のゆへに命をすてよ、つゆを大海にあつらへ・ちりを大地にうづむとをもへ

通解（意訳）
　
とにかく誰もが、いつかは死ぬという事は決まっているのである。死を迎える時の嘆きは、現在の苦難の苦しみと同じである。

　同じことなら、法華経のために命を捨てるような思いで、広宣流布に励んでいきなさい。これこそ、あたかも露や塵のようにはかない自分の生命を、法華経という大海、大地、大宇宙に埋め、永遠に仏の生命を開くようなものである。
　
　
English Translations

" The Dragon Gate "
　
 In the end, no one can escape death. The sufferings at that time will be exactly like what we are experiencing now. Since death is the same in either case, you should be willing to offer your life for the Lotus Sutra. Think of this offering as a drop of dew rejoining the ocean, or a speck of dust returning to the earth.

Interpretation (liberal translation)
　
It's decided that everyone dies sometime. The grief when approaching death, is same as the present suffering pain.
 If it's the same thing, apply yourself to the memory and the "Kosen-Rufu";Propagation of the Nichiren Buddhism.; which throw away the life for a Lotus Sutra. This buries the transient life in the ocean as a Lotus Sutra, the earth and a macrocosm just like dew and trash and attains to the Buddhahood eternally.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
