月は西より出でて東を照し 日は東より出でて西を照す
仏法も又 以て是くの如し
正像には 西より東に向い 末法には 東より西に往く
つき は にし より いでて ひがし を てらし ひ は ひがし より いでて にし を てらす
ぶっぽう も また もって かくの ごとし
しょうぞう には にし より ひがし に むかい まっぽう には ひがし より にし に ゆく
月は西から出て東を照らし、日は東から出て西を照らす。仏法もまた、この大宇宙の法則の通りである。
正法・像法時代には、仏法は西のインドから、中国、朝鮮、日本へと東へ伝わり、代わりにその国々の仏法は、本質を失って形骸化してしまった。
しかし、釈尊の説いた法華経に予言された通り、末法に入ったなら、東の国・日本で、地涌の菩薩である法華経の行者が出現し、仏法の真髄である『南無妙法蓮華経』の大仏法を説き明かし、東のこの日本から西へと流布し、世界中に広く流布されてゆくのである。
＊これを「仏法西還」といいます

The moon appear from the west and go to the east, the sun rising of the east and illuminates the west.
The Lotus Sutra as a Buddhism is also matching to the principle of this universe.
In the Former and Middle Days of the Law, Buddhism was transmitted from India in the West to the Easts, China, Korea, and Japan. But the Buddhism of these countries had lost its essence and became ritualistic.
However, in the Latter Day of the law, Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings has prophesied by the Lotus Sutra, the many followers of the Lotus Sutra called the bodhisattva of the earth appears in the east country of Japan.
The wise person who is a leader of the bodhisattva of the earth appear at first, emerge and preach the true essence of the Buddhism that "Nam-Myoho-Renge- Kyo".
and Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo of the Nichiren Buddhism is spread from Japan in the east to the west, it will spread for all over the world.
