爰に日蓮いかなる不思議にてや候らん竜樹天親等・天台妙楽等だにも顕し給はざる大曼荼羅を・末法二百余年の比（ころ） はじめて法華弘通のはたじるしとして顕し奉るなり、
是全く日蓮が自作にあらず多宝塔中の大牟尼世尊分身の諸仏すりかたぎたる本尊なり
ここ に にちれん いかなる ふしぎ にてや そうらん りゅうじゅう てんしん とう・てんだい みょうらく とう だにも あらわし たまわざる だいまんだらを・まっぽう にひゃくよねん のころ はじめて ほっけぐつう の はたじるし として あらわし たまわる なり、
これ まったく にちれん が じさ に あらず たほうとうちゅう の だいむにせそん ぶんしん のしょぶつ すり かたぎたる ほんぞん なり

通解（意訳）
ここに、日蓮はどういう不思議であろうか、正法時代の竜樹・天親等・像法時代の天台・妙楽等でさえ、顕わすことのなかった大曼荼羅を、末法にはいって二百余年を経たこの時に、初めて、法華弘通の旗印として顕わしたのである。
この大曼荼羅は、全く日蓮が勝手に作り出したものではなく、法華経に出現した多宝塔の中の釈迦牟尼仏、ならびに十方（全宇宙）の分身の諸仏のありさまを、あたかも板木で摺りあらわした御本尊なのである。

How wondrous it is that, around two hundred years and more into the Latter Day of the Law, I was the first to reveal as the banner of propagation of the Lotus Sutra this great mandala that even those such as Nāgārjuna and Vasubandhu, T’ien-t’ai and Miao-lo were unable to express.
This mandala is in no way my invention. It is the object of devotion that depicts Shakyamuni Buddha, the World-Honored One, seated in the treasure tower of Many Treasures Buddha, and the Buddhas who were Shakyamuni’s emanations as perfectly as a print matches its woodblock.
