人の目に見えないところで行なった徳（善行）も、自身の生命に全て蓄積されて、やがて必ず現実として目に見える果報（功徳）があらわれる。
  • 陰の労苦にこそ、偉大な功徳がある
『私は青春時代、すべてをなげうって、戸田先生のもとで働いた。戦後の混乱の中、先生の事業が苦境に陥り、周囲の人々が次々と去っても、私は一人残り、耐えて戦った。それが陰徳となって、今日の学会の大興隆を、同志と共に築いてきたのである。』

  • Invisible labor includes a grand act of benefit
"I devoted everything in the youth and worked under teacher Toda.
In the post-war confusion, the teacher's business faced a difficulty, people who around the teacher left one after another, but only I stay for the teacher, endured, and fighting.
It has become a invisible virtue and has built up the great rise of today's Soka Gakkai with the comrades."

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
