御みやづかいを法華経とをぼしめせ、「一切世間の治生産業は皆実相と相違背せず」とは此れなり
　
檀越某御返事（１２９５頁）　弘安元年４月
通解（意訳）
　
あなたが主君に仕えている仕事が、そのまま法華経の修行なのだと思いなさい。法華経に「社会全般の政治・経済・産業・日常生活は皆、法華経と相反する事はない」と説かれているのは、このことである。
仕事も、日常生活も、すべてが法華経の教えの根本である「誠実な振る舞い」が基本となっているのである。

" Reply to a Believer "
　
 Regard your service to your lord as the practice of the Lotus Sutra. This is what is meant by “No worldly affairs of life or work are ever contrary to the true reality.”
[ The "sincere behavior" which is foundation of a doctrine of a Lotus Sutra is all bases of work and daily life. ]

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
