通解（意訳）

四徳とは、一には父母に孝行であれ、二には仕えている主に忠義であれ、三には友人に会っては礼義正しくあれ、四には自分より弱い者に会ったならば慈悲深くあれ、ということである。

• 「誠実な人」が「信頼の人」と輝く

身近な人が大切である。その人を宝のごとく大事にすることである。そして、誰に対しても誠実に、礼節をわきまえて接することである。 

誠実ほど強いものはない。（中略） 

誠実で築いた友情は、壊れない。策でつくった友情は、やがて崩れる。

(1) filial piety toward one’s father and mother;

(2) loyalty to one’s lord;

(3) courtesy toward one’s friends;

and  (4) pity and kindness toward those less fortunate than oneself.

Interpretation (liberal translation) 

• "Sincere person" is shines with "person of trust"

Close people are important.

Take care of those people as like a treasure, 

And treat everyone with sincerity and gratitude.

Nothing is as strong as honesty.  (Omit)

Honesty and friendship that you have built will not break.

However, the friendship that was made by the plan will eventually collapse.
