日蓮を供養し 又 日蓮が弟子檀那となり給う事、其の功徳をば 仏の智慧にても・はかり尽し給うべからず、
経に云く「仏の智慧を以て籌量するも多少其の辺を得ず」と云へり
にちれんをくようしまたにちれんがでしだんなとなりたもうこと、そのくどくをばほとけのちえにても・はかりつくしたもうべからず、
きょうにいわく「ほとけのちえをもってちゅうりょうするもたしょうそのへんをえず」といえり

通解（意訳）
日蓮を供養し、また日蓮の弟子や檀那となられた功徳は、仏の智慧でも量り尽くすことはできない。
これは法華経薬王菩薩本事品第二十三にいわく
「仏の智慧を以て籌量（ちゅうりょう：考え量る）するも多少其の辺を得ず」と説かれているのである。

Not even the wisdom of the Buddha can fathom the blessings that one will obtain by giving alms to Nichiren and by becoming his disciple and lay supporter.
The sutra reads, “[The benefits he gains there will be such that] even the Buddha wisdom could never finish calculating their extent.”

湿れる木より火を出し乾ける土より水を儲けんが如く強盛に申すなり - praying as earnestly as though to produce fire from damp wood, or to obtain water from parched ground.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
