夫れ仏法と申すは勝負をさきとし、王法と申すは賞罰を本とせり、

故に仏をば世雄と号し王をば自在となづけたり

それ ぶっぽう と もうす は しょうぶ を さき とし、おうほう と もうす は しょうばつ を もと と せり、

ゆえ に ほとけ をば せおう と ごう し おう をば じざい と なづけたり

通解（意訳）

そもそも仏法というものは勝負を第一とし、王法というものは賞罰を根本としている。

故に、仏を世雄と号し、王を自在と名づけるのである。

For this reason, a Buddha is looked up to as the Hero of the World, while a king is called the one who rules at his will.
