通解（意訳）
悪は多くても、一善に勝つことはない。例えば、多くの火が集まっても、たった一水（一度の雨）で消えてしまうようなものである。

 Though evils may be numerous, they cannot prevail over a single great truth, just as many raging fires are quenched by a single shower of rain.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
