通解（意訳）
 中国の李広将軍（りこうしょうぐん）という武将は、虎に母を食い殺された辛い経験があった。
ある日、虎によく似た石を見つけたが、李広には「虎は母の敵（かたき）」という想いが強かったので、その石が本物の虎に見えた。
 「母の敵討ち」という強い想いを込めて矢を放ったところ、その矢は、矢ぶくら（矢の羽根の部分）にまで石に突き刺さっていた。
 しかし、それが虎に似た石であると勘違いしていたことに気付いてからは、何度その石に矢を射ても、矢が石に刺さるということはなかったという。

このように、自身の強い一念があれば、不可能と思われることを実現することができるのである。


English Gosho
 The mighty warrior General Li Kuang, whose mother had been devoured by a tiger, shot an arrow at the stone he believed was the tiger.
 The arrow penetrated the stone all the way up to its feathers. But once he realized it was only a stone, he was unable to pierce it again.
