教主釈尊の出世の本懐は人の振舞にて候けるぞ、穴賢・穴賢、賢きを人と云いはかなきを畜といふ。

通解（意訳）
教主釈尊が生まれ持った使命とは、法華経を説いて、人としての振る舞いを説くことであった。
あなかしこ、誠実に振る舞う事を学んでいる、賢い者を人といい、振る舞いを知らない愚かなものを畜生というのである。

The purpose of the appearance in this world of Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings, lies in his behavior as a human being.

The wise may be called human, but the thoughtless are no more than animals.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
