この功徳は 父母・祖父母・乃至 無辺の衆生にも・をよぼしてん、まして・わが・いとをし と・をもふ・をとこ は 申すに及ばずと、おぼしめすべし

通解（意訳）
一枚の帷子（かたびら、着る物）ですが、法華経の一切の６９,３８４文字に宿る、６９,３８４の仏に供養したことになるのです。

この功徳は、あなたの父母・祖父母・さらには多くの衆生にも及ぶことは当然です。ましてや、あなたの最愛の夫に功徳が及ぶことはいうまでもありません。

English Gosho
 Though only one robe, it has been offered to the Buddhas of all the [ 69,384 n umber of ] characters of the Lotus Sutra.

 Be firmly convinced that the benefits from this will extend to your parents, your grandparents, nay, even to countless living beings, not to mention your own husband, whom you hold most dear.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
