English Gosho
You must not lament the fact that I have not speedily been granted pardon from my sentence of exile. Undoubtedly the heavenly gods are delaying such a pardon.

Interpretation (liberal translation)
Undoubtedly the heavenly gods are delaying such a pardon.

There is important meaning, and Nichiren doesn't remit some early from Sado banishment.
 So you aren't supposed to grieve for this. A goodness of gods will protect as Nichiren doesn't remit this.
* The important meaning
If Nichiren was remitted and had returned to Kamakura early at the same time, maybe Nichiren was losing his life by some shapes for whether he was involved in a rebellion or took that and was assassinated.
Because banishment was done by Sado consequently, Nichiren didn't also have not to be also involved in a rebellion and to have a plague. There was such meaning.
It's possible to sense Nichiren's big conviction that it depends on divine protection of a goodness of gods;"There is meaning important to the affair which occurs to the way of the study of the belief. You are not supposed to be this convinced, doubt and grieve."
That is a heart of mercy of Nichiren , and he wants his disciples to grasp a conviction of faith and distraction-less faith.
