夫れ（それ） 無始の生死を留めて 此の度 決定（けつじょう）して 無上菩提（むじょうぼ だい）を証せんと思はば すべからく衆生本有の妙理（しゅじょうほん ぬ  の みょうり）を観ずべし、衆生本有の妙理 とは・妙法蓮華経 是なり 故に 妙法蓮華経と唱へたてまつれば 衆生本有の妙理を観ずるにて あるなり

そもそも、我々衆生は、計り知れない昔から、生れては死に、死んでは生まれを繰り返し、人間の根本的な苦悩である、生老病死の苦しみの世界を繰り返してきた（無始の生死）。この苦しみを留めて、法華経と縁した今世で決意を定めて、今度こそ必ず仏の境涯を証得し（無上菩提を証せん）、即身成仏・一生成仏を遂げようと思うなら、即ちに、全ての人に本来備わっている仏の生命がある（衆生本有の妙理）という、生命の真理に思いをめぐらしてみる（観ずる）べきである。
　この、全ての人に本来備わっている仏の生命とは、妙法蓮華経そのものなのである。ゆえに妙法蓮華経と唱えたてまつるならば、凡夫が即身成仏・一生成仏を成し遂げるという宇宙の生命の真理の根拠を知る事ができ、衆生本有の妙理を観ずることができるのである。

" On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime "
　
 If you wish to free yourself from the sufferings of birth and death you have endured since time without beginning and to attain without fail unsurpassed enlightenment in this lifetime, you must perceive the mystic truth that is originally inherent in all living beings.
 This truth is Myoho-renge-kyo. Chanting Myoho-renge-kyo will therefore enable you to grasp the mystic truth innate in all life.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
