通解（意訳）

日蓮が様々な宗教の優劣・正邪を判断する際、その宗教の教義や主張に、道徳や人道といった「同相」にかなっており、普遍妥当性（ふへん だとうせい、条件や時間などにとらわれず、どのような場合にも常に当てはまる性質）があるかを問う「理証」と、
記録または文書などの証拠があり、どの経典や文献を根本としているかを問う「文証」で判断をする以上の方法はない。
さらに、その宗教の正しさが、現実社会や実生活で証明されて、現実を変える力を持っているかを問う「現証」に勝るものない。

In judging the relative merit of Buddhist doctrines, I, Nichiren, believe that the best standards are those of reason and documentary proof. And even more valuable than reason and documentary proof is the proof of actual fact.

Interpretation (liberal translation)
When Nichiren is judged the relative merits, right and wrong of various religious, to the religious doctrine or claims, and makes sense moral and humanitarian, ask whether there is a universal validity as "Moral evidence",
such as a recording or document of There is evidence, no more than a method for the judged in the "Literature evidence" to ask whether any scriptures and literature are the root.
Furthermore, the correctness of the religion, has been proven in the real society and real life, nothing is better than to ask whether they have the power to change the reality "Real evidence".
