通解（意訳）
祈祷（祈り、信心）には、
顕祈顕応（けんき けんのう：目に見える信心と、何らかの形で見える功徳）、
顕祈冥応（けんき みょうおう：目に見える信心と、目に見えず、未知の間に出ている功徳）、
冥祈冥応（みょうき みょうおう：目には見えない信心と、目には見えない功徳）、
冥祈顕応（みょうき けんのう：目には見えない信心と、目に見える功徳）、
この４種類の信心と功徳の顕れがあると言えども、ただ肝心なことは、妙法の功徳は必ず顕れる事を信じ抜いて、この法華経を信心されるならば、現在及び未来の所願が満足されるであろう。
