蔵の財よりも身の財すぐれたり身の財より心の財第一なり、
此の御文を御覧あらんよりは 心の財をつませ給うべし
崇峻天皇御書

通解（意訳）
蔵におさめている財産よりも、（技能や才能、健康などの）自分の身の財産が優れている。その身の財よりも、（誠実な振舞や感謝の念といった、）心の財が第一なのである。
この文を御覧になったあとは、心の財を積んでいきなさい。

English Gosho
More valuable than treasure in at storehouse are the treasures of the body [;your skills or health],and the treasure of the heart [;kindness or respect for a person] are the most valuable of all.
After reading this sentence, please store the heart of the treasure.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
