若し此の書を見聞して宿習有らば其の心を発得すべし

通解（意訳）
もしこの書を見聞して、過去において法華経を聞いた宿習があるならば、必ず信心を起こして、自身の今世での使命を発得し、自覚しなさい。

If,when you read this letter, it seems to accord with the practices that you have carried out in past existences, I hope you will make up your minds to lend me your assistance.

If,when you had read this letter and learned anything, you need to understand that contents from your inmost heart.
And you need make up your mind to strengthen your faith.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
