通解（意訳）
　
「本仏」というのは「凡夫」であり、生命の胸中に元来備わっている「真の仏の姿」である。「迹仏」というのは、釈尊の過去世の修行の姿を名付けた仏の名前であり、凡夫が仏の生命を理解するための「例えの姿」を「迹仏」というのである。

Interpretation (liberal translation)
　
 The "provisional Buddhas" is the name of the gods the form of previous life training of a Sakyamuni Buddha was called, and a ordinary person calls the form that it was compared the "provisional Buddhas" to understand Buddhahood.
