日蓮一人はじめは南無妙法蓮華経と唱へしが、二人・三人・百人と次第に唱へつたふるなり、未来も又しかるべし、
是あに地涌の義に非ずや、剰へ広宣流布の時は日本一同に南無妙法蓮華経と唱へん事は大地を的とするなるべし
にちれん ひとり はじめ は なんみょうほうれんげきょう と となえしが、ににん・さんにん・ひゃくにん と しだい に となえ つたうる なり、みらい も また しかるべし、
これ あに じゆ の ぎ に あらずや、あまつさえ こうせんるふ の とき は にほん いちどう に なんみょうほうれんげきょうと となえん こと は だいち を まと と する なるべし

通解（意訳）
はじめは日蓮一人が南無妙法蓮華経と唱えたが、二人・三人・百人と次第に唱え伝えてきたのである。未来もまたそうであろう。
これが地涌の義ではないだろうか。そればかりか広宣流布のときは、あらゆる人達が一同に南無妙法蓮華経と唱えることは大地を的とするようなものである。

At first only Nichiren chanted Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, but then two, three, and a hundred followed, chanting and teaching others.
Propagation will unfold this way in the future as well. Does this not signify “emerging from the earth”?
At the time when the Law has spread far and wide, the entire Japanese nation will chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, as surely as an arrow aimed at the earth cannot miss the target.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
