かくれたる事のあらはれたる徳となり候なり - What is hidden turns into manifest virtue.

仏法の中に 内薫外護（ないくん げご）と申す 大なる大事ありて 宗論にて候、
法華経には「我 深く汝等を敬う」
涅槃経には「一切衆生 悉く 仏性有り」

かくれたる事のあらはれたる 徳となり候なり
ぶっぽう の なか に ないくん げご と もうす おおい なる だいじ ありて しゅうろん にて そうろう、
ほけきょう には「われ ふかく なんだち を うやまう」
ねはんぎょう には「いっさい しゅじょう ことごとく ぶっしょう あり」

通解（意訳）
仏法の中に「内薫外護」という大事な法門があり、これが仏教を説く上で大事となる原理である。
法華経の不軽品には、「私は深くあなた達のことを敬う」とあり、
涅槃経には「あらゆる人々の生命には、等しく仏性という無限の可能性が元来備わっている」とある。
「あらゆる人の生命に、もともと仏性が内在しており、布に染み込ませた香料が薫りを発するように、仏性が生命の内より薫発すること（内薫）によって、迷いの生命が消滅して、自己の仏性が身体や言動などの現証という、目に見える働きとなって顕れるのである。この時、仏性を涌現した自分と縁している周囲の人々の言動や様々な現証も、仏性という無限の可能性を大きく引き出す助けとなって、自分も、自分に縁した人々をも護る（外護）という働きが顕れる。」
これを内薫外護と呼ぶのである。

人知れず、人のために動き働いた事実は、隠れてはいるが内薫として自己の生命を豊かにし、仏性を開き、振舞いや周囲の助けといった徳・外護となって顕れてくるのである。

Buddhism teaches that, when the Buddha nature manifests itself from within, it will receive protection from without. This is one of its fundamental principles. 
The Lotus Sutra says, “I have profound reverence for you.”
The Nirvana Sutra states, “All living beings alike possess the Buddha nature.”

Interpretation (liberal translation) 
Buddhism is inherent in every person's life.
Just as the fragrance permeated into the cloth gives off the fragrance, Buddha nature is emitted from within life, and the  life ambivalence is disappears. and, the Buddhism of one's self becomes visible as a proof of physical and verbal behavior.
At this time, the behaviors and various proofs of the people around us, who are closely related to Buddhism, also help to bring out the infinite possibilities of Buddhism.
And the work of protecting yourself and those related to you becomes apparent.
This is called of Buddhism word "NaiKun - GeGo" [ 内薫 - 外護 ],
It is meaning "The Fragrance from inside, and The Protection from Outside."
Even if it's learned about by no one, the fact which moved for a person and functioned hides, but the life of the oneself is made abundant and sympathetic nature is opened, and it's virtue such as behavior and the surrounding help and is being discovered.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
