此の曼陀羅は文字は五字七字にて候へども三世の諸仏の御師一切の女人の成仏の印文なり、
冥途にはともしびとなり死出の山にては良馬となり・天には日月の如し・地には須弥山の如し・生死海の船なり成仏得道の導師なり
この まんだら は もじ は ごじ しちじ にて そうらえども さんぜ の しょぶつ の おんし いっさい の にょにん の じょうぶつ の いんもん なり、
めいど には ともしび と なり しで の やま にては りょうめ と なり・てん には にちがつ の ごとし・ち には しゅみせん の ごとし・しょうじかい の ふね なり じょうぶつ とくどう の どうし なり

通解（意訳）
この曼陀羅は、文字は五字・七字であるけれども、一念三千の法理を含んだ「南無妙法蓮華経」という法華経の肝心であるから、三世諸仏の御師であり、一切の女人成仏を約束する印文である。
冥途では灯火となり、その途中にある、死者が越えて行かなければならない死出の山という険しい山にては良き馬となる。天空にあっては、日月のようであり、大地にあっては須弥山のようなものである。生死の大海を渡る船である。成仏への道に導く師である。

Gosho in English
I have offered prayers to the Gohonzon of Myoho-renge-kyo. Though this Mandala has but five or seven characters, it is the teacher of all Buddhas throughout the three existences and the seal that guarantees the enlightenment of all women.
It will be a lamp in the darkness of the road to the next world and a fine horse to carry you over the mountains of death. It is like the sun and moon in the heavens or Mount Sumeru on earth. It is a ship to ferry people over the sea of the sufferings of birth and death. It is the teacher who leads all people to Buddhahood and enlightenment.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
