日月は、仏法の法味をなめて、威光勢力を増すと経文には説かれている。
日天・月天等の諸天善神（太陽や月等、全宇宙の法理）は、南無妙法蓮華経の題目の声を聞き、味わって、諸天善神としての力を増すのである。

Interpretation (liberal translation) 
The heavenly gods such as the sun and the moon (:the doctrine of the whole universe such as the sun and the moon) listen to the voice of Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo:DAIMOKU and increase the power as the guardian of the Nichiren Buddhist.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
