It must be ties of karma from the distant past that have destined you to become my disciple at a time like this. Shakyamuni and Many Treasures certainly realized this truth.
The sutra’s statement, “Those persons who had heard the Law dwelled here and there in various Buddha lands, constantly reborn in company with their teachers,” cannot be false in any way.

  • Bond of a Teacher and Disciple carrying through life and death.

[ Dear Professor first chairperson, Tsunesaburo Makiguchi;] " The heart of your very large mercy took me to the prison with your heart together.  Thanks to the grace, I read words of Myoho-renge-kyo of " Those persons who had heard the Law dwelled here and there in various Buddha lands, constantly reborn in company with their teachers " ,with my body. By the act of benefit, I knew the mission of the Bodhisattva of the Earth, and I was able to perform a body reading of the meaning of the Lotus Sutra just a little. What happiness is it? "
- Josei Toda.
" I was impressed by this speech of my teacher, Toda.I decided that I served it, and I took teacher for the same heart. In my life that I gave to a teacher, I have no regret. "
- Daisaku Ikeda.
