善悪の根本 枝葉をさとり極めたるを仏とは申すなり - One who is thoroughly awakened to the nature of good and evil from their roots to their branches and leaves is called a Buddha.

通解（意訳）
本末究竟（ほんまつくきょう、勤行・方便品第二の最後にある、『所為諸法。如是相。如是性。。。如是本末究竟等。』の、十如是の箇所）というのは、本とは悪の根本・善の根本であり、末というのは悪の終わり、善の終わりのことである。善悪の根本から枝葉までを悟り極めているのを仏というのである。
