御みやづかい（仕官）を法華経とをぼしめせ、「一切世間（いっさいせけん）の治生産業（ちせいさんぎょう）は皆実相（みな じっそう）と相位背（あい いはい）せず」とは此れ（これ）なり

檀越某御返事（１２９５頁）　弘安元年４月１１日

通解

（あなたが）主君に仕えるという仕事が、法華経の修行（実践）であると思いなさい。「実社会のあらゆる仕事や日常生活の営みは、すべて法華経の実相（妙法）と相反することはない」と法華経に説かれているのは、このことである。


英訳

"Reply to a Believer"

Regard your service to your lord as the practice of the Lotus Sutra.
This is what is meant by "No worldly affairs of life or work are ever contrary to the true reality.
("The true reality" means of myoho of the Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.)

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
