南無妙法蓮華経は歓喜の中の大歓喜なり - Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the greatest of all joys.

始めて我心（わがこころ）本来の仏なりと知るを即ち大歓喜と名く（なづく） 所謂（いわゆる）南無妙法蓮華経は歓喜の中の大歓喜なり


御義口伝（７８８頁）

通解

初めて自分の心が本来の仏の姿であると知ることを、すなわち大歓喜と名づける。いわゆる南無妙法蓮華経は、歓喜の中の大歓喜である。


英訳

"The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings"

This passage refers to the great joy that one experiences when one understands for the first time that one's mind from the very beginnings has been a Buddha.
Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the greatest of all joys.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
