我並びに我が弟子・諸難ありとも疑う心なくば自然に仏界にいたるべし - Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbor doubts in our heart, we will as matter of course attain Buddhahood.

我（われ）並びに我が弟子・諸難ありとも疑う心なくば自然（じねん）に仏界にいたるべし、
天の加護なき事を疑はざれ 現世の安穏（げんせのあんのん）ならざることをなげかざれ、
我が弟子に朝夕（ちょうせき）教えしかども・疑いを・をこして皆すてけん
つたなき（拙き）者のならひは約束せし事を・まことの時はわするるなるべし

通解

我も我が弟子達も、どのような難があっても疑う心がなければ、必ず自然に仏界にいたる。
諸天の加護がないからと信仰を疑ってはならない。現世が安穏でないことを嘆いてはならない。
我が弟子に朝に夕に事を教えてきたが、疑いを起こして皆、信心を捨ててしまったのであろう。
愚かな者の常としては、約束した事を肝心な時に忘れてしまうのである。


英訳

"The Opening of the Eyes"

Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbor doubts in our heart, we will as matter of course attain Buddhahood.
Do not have doubts simply because heaven does not land you protection. Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure existence in this life.
This is what I have taught my disciples morning and evening, and yet they begin to harbor doubts and abandon their faith.
Foolish men are likely to forget the promises they have made when the crucial moment comes.

蒼蝿驥尾に附して万里を渡り 碧蘿松頭に懸りて千尋を延ぶ - A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet.
