根ふかければ 枝さかへ 源 遠ければ流長しと 申して
一切の経は根あさく流ちかく 法華経は根ふかく源とをし、末代・悪世までも・つきず・さかうべし
ね ふかければ えだ さかえ みなもと とおければ ながれ ながし と もうして
いっさい の きょう は ね あさく ながれ ちかく ほけきょう は ね ふかく みなもと とおし、まつだい・あくせ までも・つきず・さかうべし

通解(意訳)
木の根が深ければその枝は栄え、水源が遠ければ川の流れは長いと言われるように、
法華経以外の諸教は根が浅く流れは近く、反対に法華経は根が深くその源は遠い。
信心強盛な者がいるからこそ、法華経は末法、悪世までも尽きることなく栄え、流布していくのである。
